Midterm #6

This was an interesting lesson. Using the layers tool. I liked using this one. Not sure why on my blog the background color shows up as black. It shows up as white in my images. Anyways here it is.

This is a picture of a penguin with the text understanding and using layers in GIMPShop. To create this image I used the layer tool in gimpshop. Created a layer with the text and the picture. I then used the anchor tool to pull them together. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. I though this animation process was interesting. Using the layers and rotation tools multiple times i was able to create a series of layers. The layers of the text are set to different angles. This is what makes it look like it's rotating. 

This is a rotating image of my full name. To achieve this I used the layer tool along with the rotation tool. After writing my name i created layers. Each layer I rotated my name using the angle. I started at angle 45 and increased it with each layer. Then anchor the layers. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College.
